Longo’s epic narrative strength comes from his transformation of the intimate practice of drawing into the monumental scale of painting, elevating the medium to a scale never seen before. He achieves an extremely emotional range through his use of chiaroscuro, harnessing light and dark as primary material. "I was able to do whatever I wanted material-wise and medium-wise.” — Robert Longo This forest alludes to mystery and emotions that come from nature in itself, without the presence of the human being. The evergreen forest surrounding the lake of Doxa, in western Corinthia, Greece, is represented as immerse in a mythological and mystical atmosphere thanks to the used of chiaroscuro, in which Longo is a great master. ROBERT LONGO Best known for his photorealistic drawings, Longo explores imagery within a complex social and cultural forces. Robert Longo was born in 1953, in Brooklyn, New York, and has had a childhood fascination with mass media: movies, television, magazines, and comic books, which continue to deeply influence his art. One of the quintessential artists of the 1980s, Longo is perhaps best known for the writhing, dancing figures in his iconic Men in the Cities series. The American artist´s drawings are, perhaps, his most iconic. They are as much about the content they depict as they are about the artist´s intense devotion to the practice of drawing. His amazingly deep, anthracite charcoal drawings show emotional motives. “As an artist, we’re reporters. Our job is to report what it’s like to be alive now. We’re one of the few professions left in the world that has the opportunity to try to tell the truth.” —Robert Longo Perhaps the best known photorealist series of Robert Longo´s is Men in the Cities, depicting contorted, life-size human figures in an urban setting. Robert Longo´s art focuses on his never-ending investigation of the themes of power and authority, which also permeate his series of blackened American flags (Black Flags, 1989–91), and oversized handguns (Bodyhammers, 1993–95). Longo´s series, Monsters, which depict massive breaking waves, and The Sickness of Reason, featuring atomic bomb blasts, followed in 2002 and 2004. It was during the 1980s that Robert Longo started to produce editions, mainly lithographs. He then gradually developed a high-end print technique, Pigment Print, which allows him to reproduce his drawings perfectly. Robert Longo´s prints capture the same level of detail and emotional impact of the original drawings.

Yellow Tulips - Contemporary, 21st Century, Silkscreen, Limited Edition, Katz
By Alex Katz
Located in Zug, CH
Alex Katz, Yellow Tulips Contemporary, 21st Century, Silkscreen, Limited Edition Edition of 50 + 5 PP + 15 AP 122,5 x 195,7 cm (48.2 x 77 in.) Signed and numbered on the front In mint condition, as acquired from the publisher (Lococo) PLEASE NOTE: Edition numbers could vary from the one shown in the images. All edition available come from the edition /50 The pictures are only for illustrative reasons, the work is offered unframed. “Yellow Tulips” is part of the famous flower painting series by Alex Katz. The aesthetics of flowers such as flags, tulips, and roses has been continuously explored by the artist throughout his career. "I generally start with oil sketches, because I can paint more quickly than I can draw. In this way I try to capture the sensation of what I’m doing, getting into the unconscious and creating the images, and then figuring out what I did." — Alex Katz Katz has been painting flowers since the 1960s, often during his summer residencies in Maine. The cropped, flattened composition displays a debt to Japanese woodblock art printing. The American artist is well-known for his large paintings, whose bold simplicity and unmodulated colours are now seen as precursors of Pop Art. "Yellow Tulips" is another of Katz's wonderfully bright exploration of nature and the landscape. He represents the volumes and colors created by the natural light, this artwork breathes nature, the radiant yellow delights the vision against the limitless black background. The painting “Tulips 4” which this edition is based on belongs to the Collection of Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. ALEX KATZ Alex Katz (American, born 1927) is the outstanding protagonist of figurative painting and one of our era's most acclaimed artists. In the late 1950s, the artist began to develop his mature style, characterized by elegance, simplicity, and stylized abstraction, which typifies his entire production. Alex Katz’s paintings...

220 for 2020. Art Edition D No. 301–400 ‘My Second Drawing of Beuvron-en-Auge’
By David Hockney
Located in Zug, CH
David Hockney 220 for 2020. Art Edition D No. 301–400 ‘My Second Drawing of Beuvron-en-Auge’, 2021 11-color inkjet print on cotton-fiber archival paper 45.7 × 102.6 cm (18 × 40.4 in) Signed, numbered and dated Edition number 347 In mint condition Unframed Hockney made four different prints, each in an edition of 100, to accompany 400 copies of the book(s). Edition D is numbered, as here, 301-400. Edition A, B and C, each have different images for each of their editions, numbered respectively, 1-100, 101-200, and 201-300. There were another 1,620 “collector edition” books numbered in Volume 1, numbered 401-2,200. From a small, picturesque farmhouse in the rich fields and meadows of the northern French region of Normandy, Hockney followed and recorded the changing seasons throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. For the past decade, Hockney’s medium of choice has been the iPad and it was this technological instrument, he used to spontaneously depict impressions of the Norman landscape surrounding him. The two-year project entitled “220 for 2020” documents the passage of time by portraying the first spring blossoms, the smell of summer, the saturated colours of autumn, and the stark shapes of dark branches in winter time. This poetic undertaking represented a lifeline for the artist, and offered its viewers a message of hope in unprecedented times. As part of this project, Hockney included drawings from his “La Grande Cour, Rumesnil, Normadie, 26 Juli 2019”, sketchbook. These almost autobiographical accounts started in the vicinity of the artist’s Los Angeles home...
