Stanley Donwood is a British artist and designer best known for his long-standing collaboration with the band Radiohead, creating their album artwork since The Bends (1995). Born in 1968, Donwood studied at the University of Exeter, where he met Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke. His work blends elements of surrealism, dystopian landscapes, and intricate linework, often exploring themes of environmental destruction and societal decay. In addition to his album art, Donwood has produced numerous prints, paintings, and book illustrations, including projects with Yorke outside of Radiohead. His distinctive style, which combines digital techniques with traditional printmaking methods, has earned him a significant following in the contemporary art world.
