About the Item
This offset / Lithographic poster was designed both as a poster edition and a signed and numbered edition on Arches for an exhibition at the Musee Dynamique in Dakar, Senegal, in 1972. While it was reproduced under the artist's supervision by Mourlot Master Printer, Henri Deschamps, from a color pencil drawing from December 1970 entitled "Pierrot et Arlequin" (Zervos #323), Picasso signed and numbered an edition of 100 on Arches that were donated to the Museum for them to sell.
Ref. Czwiklitzer # 437. Ed. 1,000 plus 100 signed and numbered.
