Early, Early, Blue Arcs by Bruce Dorfman, 1968

1968

About the Item

Since 1960, Dorfman has had fifty-six solo exhibitions in New York, across the United States and abroad. Dorfman had his own studio, with an assigned master print assistant in 1968. During that time, he developed friendships with Jose Cuevas, Robert Rauschenberg, Alex Katz, and Francois Gilot, who were all working on editions there. He completed a total of five separate commissions at Mourlot. His work is in museum, corporate, and private collections across the United States, Europe, and Asia. This lithograph was printed in 1968 - from an edition of 125 - at the Atelier Mourlot on Bank Street in NYC as a part of the Smithsonian American Art Museum Collection. Certificate of Provenance: Each individual work of art carefully curated by Mourlot Editions comes with a Certificate of Provenance, signed, dated, stamped, and numbered by Eric Mourlot. Stored in a clear protective sleeve accompanying your piece, this certificate guarantees the origin and authenticity of your personal lithograph.
