His work has been shown in solo exhibitions at Artists Space in New York, at the Mary Boone and the Annina Nosei Galleries in New York, at the Barbara Balkin Gallery in Chicago, the Akira Ikeda Gallery in Nagoya, Japan, the Patrick Vereist Gallery in Antwerp, and the Bruno Bischofberger in Zurich. Newman has also been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions in the United States and Europe
