Original vintage advertising poster for Shell Lubricating Oils designed one of the most renowned poster artists of the 20th century Edward McKnight Kauffer (1890-1954). The eye-catching design shows a yellow can of Shell motor oil featuring a jointed artist's mannequin holding up the Shell logo on the front of the can in red, the title in stylised bold lettering on dynamic colourful ribbon-like shapes on the paintbrush style black background. Large size. Horizontal. Very good condition, restored tears, backed on linen.
