About the Item
Original antique travel poster for the Adriatic coast port town of Cesenatico issued by the Italian Tourism Board ENIT featuring artwork by Giovanni Guerrini (1887–1972) depicting the stylised title text on a banner flag blowing in the wind between the two ancient Byzantine pillars at the bridge over the Leonardesque Canal with several traditional sailing boats with bright orange and yellow sails on the water in the background. The historic Porto Canale Leonardesco dates back to the 14th century named after the drawings made by Leonardo da Vinci on his visit in 1502. Good condition, restored paper losses on edges, restored tears, restored fold, restored creasing, ink stamp in bottom left corner, tape marks, paper skimming, backed on linen.
