James Surls made three lithographs with Shark's in 1999. Taking advantage of the translucent nature of Thai mulberry paper, the artist used several reds, printed on both sides of the sheet, to create a deep rich color over a fluid white line. "Blood Flower" and "Flesh and Blood" celebrate our connections to life and family.
