Original vintage advertising poster featuring artwork from the 1906 poster illustrated by the notable artist John Hassall (1868-1948) depicting an elegantly dressed Victorian lady in a long white dress and white hat with a bow, holding an umbrella and standing on a beach in front of sailing boats at sea and hills in the distance, the title in stylised bold red letters reads - Desde Barcelona Nueva Narrativa Hispanica / From Barcelona New Hispanic Narrative - with text in smaller white print against the sky on the side reads - Look, anyone who has not read Guelbenzu and Onetti, Vargas Llosa and Grosso cannot give an opinion about the controversy between Spanish literature and Latin American literature; nor discover that it is a false controversy within single literature, as demonstrated by the New Hispanic Narrative collection, the only one that publishes the new values from both sides of the sea, and as the most informed court walkers and cronopios know - the names of writers in black below. Printed by Seix Barral Barcelona. Good condition, tears, creasing, staining, paper losses on edges.
