Original vintage train travel poster - Visit Arundel Castle - featuring artwork by the notable commercial artist and poster designer Reginald Montague Lander (1913-1980) depicting the historic 11th century Arundel Castle in Sussex surrounded by trees with boats in the foreground set over a green background, the title above with the rest of the text and British Rail logo below - Awayday fare from this station - along with a description of the Castle's history in the ancient town of Arundel and its restoration in the medieval style during the 18th and 19th centuries after sieges and the Civil War left it to ruins, now boasting a collection of art treasures and paintings by Van Dyke, Gainsborough and Reynolds. Screen Printed by Planet Displays. Published by British Rail Southern Region. Very good condition, creasing, small tears, number printed on reverse.
