Original vintage travel advertising poster for Europa-Canada Line featuring artwork by Reyn Dirksen (1924-1999) depicting the Seven Seas ship with flags flying in front of its blue funnel, sailing at sea towards the viewer with seagulls visible in the distance and the title text above. The Europa Canada Line (1955-1967) was formed as a joint subsidiary of the Nederlandsch Amerikaansche Stoomvaart Maatschappij (NASM) Holland America Line (HAL) and the Koninklijke Rotterdamsche Lloyd (KRL), owned solely by HAL in 1963 and renamed the ECL Shipping Co in 1966. Built in 1941 the Seven Seas passenger cruise liner was owned by the Europa-Canada Linie from 1955 to 1966 for the company's Bremerhaven to Montreal and New York routes with stops from Europe to Canada in Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Le Havre, Southampton, Quebec, Saint John, Halifax. Good condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, staining, backed on linen.
