Original vintage advertising poster promoting the 3rd Grand Mini Festival held at the Brands Hatch race circuit on Sunday 25 May from 1.30pm. Colourful sixties design featuring mini cars and their owners in different styles - the Art-Mini in psychedelic swirls with a lady wearing a fashionable short 1960s dress with white boots; the Raci-Mini in blue with a man in a smart white racing driver outfit and wearing a helmet; the Ralli-Mini in red numbered 68 with a man in a jacket holding a racing helmet; and the Mini-Ordinaire in green with a lady standing behind a young child holding a red mini car - with the title title and festival event information above including motor racing presented by the Mini 7 Club, parades, international driving tests, competitions, historic car show, skid pan rides, The White Helmets Royal Signals display team, music by the Chris Barber Jazz Band and the chance to win a Mini with a notice about free admission for Mini drivers and the Castrol GTX High performance motor oil event sponsor logo below. The Mini was a popular small economy British car built from 1959-2000, quickly becoming an icon of the 1960s (initially produced by BMC British Motor Company). The Mod subculture started in London in 1958 and spread throughout the rest of the country and abroad, influencing fashion and other trends. Printed by Nuffield Press Ltd, Oxford. Very good condition, restored folds, creases, tape mark on corners, backed on linen.
