Original vintage travel advertising poster - Imperial Airways Le Frobisher Europe Afrique Indes Extreme Orient Australie Etats Unis d'Amerique Les Bermudes le plus rapide des avions de ligne Anglais 4 moteurs rapidite et confort / Britain's fastest airliner Europe Africa India Far East Australia United States of America Bermuda 4 motors speed and comfort - featuring a stunning technical cut-out design of a plane flying over trees and fields with a river running through the countryside below, the internal and external details of the aircraft marked with artwork of passengers relaxing and reading their newspapers, eating and drinking at tables, and crew members working in different sections of the aircraft with the pilots and radio operator at the front and post storage at the back. Built in 1938 the G-AFDI Frobisher was the first production DH91 Albatross aircraft that could carry 22 passengers and mail cargo; the plane was destroyed in 1940 during WWII in a German air raid. Sir Martin Frobisher (c.1535-1594) was an English explorer and privateer who sailed to the New World three times and was a squadron commander of a fleet during the Spanish Armada in 1588.
