Original vintage train travel advertising poster for Stramberk Chemins de Fer de l'Etat Tchccoslovaque / Czechoslovak State Railways featuring a scenic illustration of a quaint village house with flowers on the window sills, sunflowers in the garden and an apple tree behind the birds on the roof, the view leading to the historic Stramberk Castle tower on the hill in the background, the title text in the sky above the white fluffy clouds and below on a red banner background. The town of Stramberk is located in the Novy Jicin District in the foothills of the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic; the historic castle is believed to have been built in the early 1200s. Ceskoslovenske Statni Drahy / Czechoslovak State Railways was founded in 1918, becoming Ceske Drahy / Czech Railways and Zeleznice Slovenskej Republiky / Railways of the Slovak Republic in 1992. Printed by Neuber, Prague. c.1930s-1940s. Fair condition, pinholes, tears, staining, paper losses, creasing, backed on old linen.
