Rags Every bit of rag still urgently required
WW2 British Home Front Poster
75x49cm
Lithograph in four colours
c. 1940
Rags had endless uses in the war machine; they were turned into cartridge wadding, they were used for cleaning machinery, they could be made into rag rugs, or the cloth could be recycled into utility clothing or uniforms. Not a scrap went to waste whether clean or dirty.
