Original vintage poster issued by the Soviet State travel monopoly Intourist in 1939 celebrating the opening of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition (Всесоюзная Сельско-Хозяйственная Выставка / Vsesoyuznaya Selsko-Khozyaystvennaya Vystavka), later known as the VDNKh or Vystavka Dostizheniy Narodnogo Khozyaystva / Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy - USSR Agricultural Exhibition 1939. Dynamic illustration by Viktor Semenovich Klimashin (1912-1960) depicting a statue of two farm workers striding forward and raising a golden sheaf of wheat above their heads in front of the coat of arms of the USSR on a red flag topped by a red star and agricultural tractors and industrial farming machinery in the background, the bold title text below in English. Printed in the USSR by Mezhdunarodnaja Kniga Moscow. Fair condition, several restored paper losses, restored tears, creasing, staining.
