Robert Graham
Robert Alexander Graham Born Iowa 1873
Died California 1946 Robert Alexander Graham set out to be an artist at a time when Impressionism was at the fore of American art. Born on the family farm near Brooklyn, Iowa, he schooled in Des Moines, then the Chicago Art Institute, and then the Art Students’ League in New York City, where he studied with artists like John Henry Twachtman, John Carlson, and Joseph DeCamp. At the turn of the century, Impressionism was considered a sophisticated import and “worn” by the upper classes like Parisian couture. The country boy quickly became the gentleman artist. At the Art Students’ League, Graham was awarded first-prize scholarship for best drawing in advanced life classes. He became a member of two grand art institutions, the New York Water Color Club and the Salmagundi Club. For thirteen years, he had a studio in New Jersey and Manhattan, and his work appeared in the exhibitions of distinction of the day, such as the National Academy Exhibition in New York and the Carnegie International in Pittsburgh. By the time he arrived in Denver in 1920, art movements from Europe suited more adventurous tastes in post-war New York; but Colorado afforded Graham the opportunity to remain at the top of his profession, and he soon joined others in advancing art in this cultural outpost. He taught drawing and painting at the Denver Academy of Applied Arts, which became the Cory Art School, and he also offered private instruction. A member of the Civitan Club, he was a charter member of the Denver Art Guild. Family reminiscences of a visit to Graham in the thirties read like a throwback to studio visit circa 1900, and the artist held on to the style he mastered in his youth: “So many interesting artifacts or props -- brass vases, American Indian relics, shells, a human skull, pieces of turquoise, and much more! Uncle Rob made quite a production of displaying his paintings for the four of us that night. He slowly and carefully displayed each painting to perfection -- first preparing the "perfect" lighting, then placing the "perfect" frames around each painting. Then he quietly and carefully placed the selected painting on an easel draped in black.” (Grace Lang Davidson). Already having made trips to California, during World War II he relocated to San Francisco, where he died in a nursing home in 1946.

If he worships more than one of these predecessors who poured into more outrage, it is freely that he suggests to the imagination to imagine without capturing the fantasy of the viewer.
The choice had been made of very high quality prints: cotton fiber base baryta paper without chlorine and high grammage (310 gr / m²), pigment inks. They carry on the back an authentication label signed by Eric Ceccarini

Eric is a Belgian artist born in 1965. He gained a Degree in Photography from INFAC, Brussels in 1987. Since then he has been a fashion photographer working with many of the top houses. Elle, Marie-Claire, L'Oréal, Levi's, Coca Cola, Virgin, Saab, Delvaux, Lowe Lintas and Ogilvy are some of his clients.
Among other distinctions, his photography for the Saab cabrio 9-3 campaign was awarded the Silver Lion at the Cannes International Advertising Festival.
Eric is set apart from many of his colleagues by his way of shunning technical artifice and working in natural light. This results in soft, velvety, almost painterly images.
Nowadays in his artistic works, he captures women's essence and soul, transcending mere physical representation.
Eric's "AMNIOS" series of soul portraits- the model appear in suspended animation, as if they were about to born, and full of hidden secrets. This
represents a new conceptual departure for Eric, who began as a fashion photographer, moving on to classic artistic nudes...

Dear One Threads A Cocoon - Unique Hand-coloured Print in Walnut frame
Located in London, GB
Hand-coloured portrait of a human larvae bursting out of their cocoon, immobilised in marble.
Representative of a safe and isolating space, the cocoon is both a cage and a shelter. This tale is a
study of transformation, of breaking apart and coming back together as the larvae emerges from
the silken threads.
Taken from The Sialia Marbles, a series of portraits containing ephemeral human sculptures taken between 2016-19. Together these works act as tales contained in a fictional sculpture hall, in direct reaction to Andre Malraux’s 1947 Le Musee Imaginaire (Museum Without Walls).
During the beginning of the 'Museum Age' in the 18th century , writer Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe discussed mythical sculpture...

'Saint Wanderer’s Hospital' series depicts a fictional tale birthed from the artist’s inherent need to find splendour in the idea of sickness.
Rooted first from her own words, Katie used the idea of illustrating as a form of personal art therapy by immersing herself in the realm of the otherworldly characters. Every aspect of each scene was created by Katie alone, from building and designing the sets to printing and hand-colouring the final images. In this act, over the year long course of the projects creation, the artist managed to make certain turmoil in her personal life bearable.
In the world of the hospital, the artist adapts the role of medical photographer – creating accurate portraits of each character’s condition as a record for the hospitals future use.
The final series comprises of 8 ‘specimen...
