About the Item
Really I have to believe that if you are as accomplished a composer as Johannes Brahms (1833-1897), you would have taken to driving without any problems at all. So perhaps this is a reasonable interpretation of the skills Brahms brought to his world. (Isn' that a metronome built into the little table at the right?)
Dennis Corrigan questions our appreciation of the world, it's famous figures, and their place in history. Outside a stately home, a car passes a miniature landscape at the lower right. Is it under his radar? Is he too otherwise involved?
This print was published by Associated American Artists, reference Windisch & Cole 2585, in an edition of 250 impressions. It's great to be able to say 'I was there.' We all loved this print and featuring Corrigan. He was terrific and such a pleasure to work with.
It's in excellent condition and is signed, titled, dated, and numbered in pencil.

The artist name may be hidden inside the design, but we believe the artwork to be done by Jeff Foster.
The image was printed to give an antique feel with old edges and distress marks, but the poster is in mint condition. It features a driver looking through his helmet as he is racing, with a reflection of a palm tree and the starting flag reflection back on the face shield. The poster has no defects.
The Long Beach Grand Prix is the longest-running major street race held in North America. It started in 1975 as a Formula 5000 race and became a Formula One event in 1976.
