Judith Grasping The Head Of Holofernes By The Hair And Looking To The Left, and Old Woman to the Right. circa 1640
Etching on cream laid paper with a foolscap watermark, 10 x 7 inches (254 x 177 mm), thin margins. In good condition with some light discoloration around the margins, mostly in the area of the margins on the verso. Light handling creases, minor skinning in the lower left corner on the verso. All condition issues are consistent with age. Potentially an early impression before the addition of extra horizontal lines in the area of drapery. (Bartsch XVIII 314 1)
