This 1968 woodcut on rice paper of reclining figures entitled "The Meadow" is by New York artist and illustrator Hope Brooks Meryman (1931-1975). Meryman was a master at capturing the feeling of a moment into large-scale woodblocks. She studied extensively with Antonio Frasconi, John Groth, Seong Moy and George Grosz.
Alternately titled "Lazy Days". New Hampshire- niece with friend.
Signed, dated, and titled on bottom.
