SUNBATHER is a contemporary female portrait depicting a dark haired, reclining woman lounging in the sunshine in her light peach swimsuit and magenta pink Cerulean blue striped headband. The SUNBATHER, in her relaxed pose, one arm resting upward behind her head, the other arm rests beside her with a tantalizing cool drink in hand; visually bold scribbles of graphite colored strokes and thicker white zigzagging line work enliven the background.

About the artist:
Nico Vrielink was born in 1958 in Reusel in the south part of the Netherlands. He was educated at the Academie of Art in Belgium to become a teacher. But teaching wasn't his cup of tea and in 1984 he began working as an artist. A year later, in 1985, Nico met his wife, Jeane, Singapore. It was love at first sight and since the day he started painting her, he never stopped doing so. By this time Nico has made thousands of paintings of Jeane. He has had expositions of his work all over the world. Nico Vrielink’s work can be found in international private or business collections and in museums.
