For those who are not familiar with Shepard Fairey's works on wood, the distressed, imperfect, vintage appearance of the silkscreen on the panel is part of his distinctive aesthetic and makes the work look like a painting. (see close up photos included here). This mixed media work is rarely seen on the public market: another example from the regular edition of six last appeared at a European auction house in 2018. A must have for fans of Shepard Fairey and Queen Elizabeth II.
