The Caricature is an Original Lithograph realized by Pierre Michel Delaporte in 1832. The artwork is window board. Allusion to the attacks against the opposition press early 1832. The title marks the sentence of Louise Philippe "Le cachot sera desormais un verite". Journal n. 70. Good condition included a white cardboard passpartout (49x32.5 cm). Signature stamped on the lower left corner. Pierre Michel Delaporte (5 September 1806 – 30 September 1872) was a 19th-century French playwright, painter, lithographer and political caricaturist. He also created numerous lithographies, illustrations and prints which were published in many newspapers and magazines, such as La Caricature (1830–1843) or Le Figaro.
