Gail Norfleet earned her BFA at The University of Texas at Austin, and her MFA at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Among others, she has had solo exhibitions in Dallas at The McKinney Avenue Contemporary and the former Delahunty and DW Galleries. Janet Kutner wrote about Norfleet's monotypes, “Stylistically the work combines the flat perspective of Japanese printmaking, the charged energy of abstract expressionism and the nightmarish edge of surrealism. But it’s typical Norfleet eccentricity – humor with undercurrents of horror, mundanity rendered elegant, naivete mixed with sophistication.” (The Dallas Morning News, May 29, 2002, p. 12) Paper size is 19 3/4 x 16 1/4 inches. This work is unframed.
