About the Item
Girl's shoes, heels or tap shoes in bronze, black and gold, featured in this Monotype ev edition 8/8 with hand coloring. Kim Frohsin spent 12 years working on monotype ev's, and works from this series are included in important Museum and private collections worldwide. 'Cosovo No 1' features a pair of womens or girl's Maryjane's or tap shoes in patent leather on cream paper, signed front.
Frohsin began exhibiting in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1990s, and in 1993 was included with Nathan Olivera, Manuel Neri and Stephen De Staebler in an exhibit of "Four Figures from the Bay." With Wayne Thiebaud as the juror, she won the California Society of Printmakers' Award in 1996, and the following year exhibited at the de Young Museum in San Francisco in "Bay Area Art: The Morgan Flagg Collection." Frohsin is at home with painting, drawing, monoprintIng, and mixed media, including ink, gouache, dry pigment and penclis.
The plate or image is 13 x 15 inches, and the overall paper size is 19 x 18 inches. This monotype can be professionally matted and framed for an additional cost of $150. Inquire within for framing.
