Original Aircraft Sculpture - Created in Bronze
2nd in the series of the Herringkel in the Aerogenic series of sculptures,
This piece is a melange between machine and organism, aeroplane and fish ( a Heinkel He III and a Herring ?). Showing what remains of its propulsion system and control surfaces and its structure exposed , this hints at what may once have been : perhaps this was discovered on a sandy shore, the corroded remains of a once great species, a machine grown or a totem from a long lost Cargo Cult or those who destroyed the biology to try to replace with technology ?
