About the Item
Barrett is a large scale and well known American sculptor. Point Out is a superb small scale maquette and it a great piece on many levels. These works have movement, delicacy and sophistication. You can set them anywhere but they have a huge impact to change the nature of a room by elevating it. Once placed, they garner attention.
They also can have a calligraphic quality - almost like Chinese characters do. And they feel organic, like forms from nature. The also can have a figurative reference - dance form in feel.
A lovely green patina. Singular in construction - not an edition piece.
Barrett is one of America's best living sculptors with major commissions and large scale works throughout the country and several books on his work.
