About the Item
Inspired by the organic shapes, colours and textures of the natural world, Jana Osterman creates stunning wall reliefs. This bright white plaster piece features an elegant, elongated shape and raised ridges. A wax polish on the plaster gives it a light sheen. One in a series.

Born in Slovenia, Jana Osterman moved to Holland where she studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. She continued with printmaking studies in England. For the last 20 years, Osterman has worked as a full-time artist and fabricator in Canada, first in Toronto and now in Prince Edward County, Ontario.
Osterman’s artworks, including public commissions, are held in collections in Canada, Slovenia, Germany, England, and Dubai.

Jana Osterman
Born in Slovenia, Jana Osterman moved to Holland where she studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. She continued with printmaking studies in England. For the last 20 years, Osterman has worked as a full time artist and fabricator in Canada, first in Toronto and now Prince Edward County, Ontario. Using a variety of materials including cast aluminum, copper and plaster, the artist creates biomorphic themed sculptures. Her work intersects the organic and enigmatic with references to the natural world. Osterman’s artworks, including public commissions, are held in collections in Canada, Slovenia, Germany, England and Dubai.
