Kevin Barrett
Kevin Barrett has been surrounded by abstract sculpture and painting his entire life. He comes from a family of artists, including his father, Bill Barrett, who is also a sculptor. His grandfather, Stan Barrett, was a world renowned abstract painter who studied with Fernand Léger, and who founded the Art Department at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. The works of his father and grandfather have had a lasting influence on the work Barrett creates, as he successfully blends the disciplines of sculpture and painting in his own art. Kevin Barrett was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1962. Several years later, his family relocated to Westchester, New York, where he spent his formative years. At the age of 14, Barrett’s father taught him how to weld, and he began creating his own sculptures. From these early sculptures, he won a Golden Key Award in the arts. Barrett received his first commission at the age of 18, in which he created an 8-foot aluminum sculpture that would be displayed in front of Hastings High School in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. The sculpture, entitled “Upright” (1980), still stands there today. Barrett studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art, as well as the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Upon completing his studies, he was employed by the Shidoni Foundry in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he worked in fabrication and bronze casting. Barrett set up his first studio in Miami, where he worked restoring sculptures by Joan Miró, Louise Nevelson, Willem de Kooning, and Pablo Picasso for a private collector. During this time, he was also creating his own work and showing extensively in the area, in galleries such as the Joy Moos Gallery and the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami. After eight years in Miami, Barrett returned to New York City, where he maintained a studio in Brooklyn for over twenty years. In 2012, he relocated to Duxbury, Massachusetts, where he currently works and resides with his wife and three daughters. Barrett’s work has been exhibited throughout the United States, Europe, and South America, and can be found in the collections of the Vero Beach Museum, Florida, the Interlocken Center for the Arts, Michigan, the Kruizenga Art Museum at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, as well as the cities of Coral Springs, Florida, and Stamford, Connecticut. His work has also been commissioned by both corporate and private collectors. Considered an expert in his medium, he has independently consulted with and built sculptures for a number of well-known artists including Herbert Ferber, Tom Wesselmann, Marjorie Strider, and Allan Houser. His advice and consultation in the creation of metal sculptures continues to be sought after.

Unique cast bronze, marble base
Joel Perlman has been creating complex sculptures out of steel, bronze, and aluminum since the early 1970's. While minimalism was the predominant style of his genration, Perlman chose to push his forms into ever-more complicated, gravity defying, configurations. Perlman investigates with originality. He expands, rather than appropriates, enriching our experience with industrial materials.

Splash
By Robert Cook
Located in Greenwich, CT
Robert Cook’s Splash sculpture draws inspiration from the iconic photograph of a drop of milk creating a circle and splash in a pool of milk. This fleeting moment of suspended motion sparked Cook’s exploration of how to capture such dynamic energy in a static form.
Robert Cook was a great American sculptor and his works are in many museums and his iconic Dinoseras piece commands a spot on the street of New York at 51st Street.
Important to note with this work that it is unique and there are no other casts. Cook sculpted in wax and when he cast this destroyed the wax and there was no mould. Very few sculptors work in this manner and it speaks to a very pure and altruistic form of sculpture. If perhaps he had been more commercially minded he would have done large editions but instead he valued singularity as in nature.
In Splash, Cook freezes a moment of kinetic energy, capturing the elegant tension between impact and expansion. The sculpture embodies both grace and chaos, with a fluidity that suggests movement at the very instant it’s frozen in time. Cook’s mastery of his medium allows this dynamic moment to be immortalized in bronze, creating a powerful and emotional resonance that transcends the physical form, making Splash both a formal and philosophical exploration of time, space, and motion.

Astarte, Bronze
Located in San Francisco, CA
"Astarte'' is a edition bronzes sculpture by Paul Braslow. This sculpture is hand-signed. He was an American sculptor and artist that established himself in the medium of figurative bronze sculpture with permanent collections in museums around the world. His sculptures show life as it should be — graceful, elegant, and hopeful. Each sculpture is cast in bronze from a wax mold and then sealed with an enamel finish. Some are left with their natural bronze coloring while others are coated with vibrant, rich colors.
His sculptures inevitably recall works by Brancusi in their startling grace, as well as the intensity of works by Giancometti. After the first impressions, one reads the sculptures for their strength of balance, and only then the sense of emotion becomes apparent and remains the lasting impression. In his series "Gaea", Braslow depicts the various stages of a woman's life by capturing the gesture and form of an adolescent girl to a mature lady. In other pieces, he captures the elegance and seduction of Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
Paul Braslow went to U.C.L.A. and got a degree in Arts. In the late 1970s, he went to Israel to execute the Entebbe Rescue Memorial at Ben-Gurion Airport and sculptures for Yad Vashem Memorial Holocaust Museum...
