About the Item
Laurence Perratzi is a French figurative artist exploring the body’s expression. Her work is a reflection on movement strongly influenced by her athletic background where poise and balance are paramount. The figures challenge gravity with subtle poses or sometimes snapshot of body in action.
Although Laurence is known for her work in Bronze, her “Trees” and “Clouds” series are an explosion of joy and freedom where she gives way to her fantasies, battles with materials such as plaster, wood, fiberglass, jesmonite, achieving intimate and powerful sculptures.
Unlike her bronzes that are usually made in a limited edition of eight, the trees and Clouds are all unique, one off pieces. In 2001 she decided to dedicate herself fully to her true passion: sculpture.
She started to work under the tuition of various sculptors such as Jean-Charles Mainardis, Jan Buckley and Hywell Pratley, did her first exhibition in 2003 in Paris and is now exhibited in London (in major Art Fairs such as the London Art Fair, Lapada, The British Art Fair, Saatchi & Saatchi, Saatchi Art), as well as in Paris, Singapour (with Shanghai Art Plus gallery), Brussels and the United States.
Her work has also been displayed in the Adornes Domain Museum in Bruges, at the Royal Opera of London, the “Residence” of the French ambassador in London but also the lobby of prestigious London Hotels such as The Waldorf.

Balloon Dog (Orange)
By Jeff Koons
Located in New York, NY
Balloon Dog is an iconic work within the highly acclaimed Celebration series, which JEFF KOONS began in the mid 1990s. The Celebration artworks reference certain times of year (holidays and birthdays) but also the celebration of the cycle of life. What else could suggest the cheer of children’s parties more eloquently than a colorful balloon, twisted into the instantly recognizable form of a dog. According to the artist, “It is about celebration and childhood and color and simplicity – but it’s also a Trojan horse. It’s a Trojan horse to the whole body of art work.” Balloon Dog has the profoundness of an archaic sculpture.
