Vibration n°2 is a bronze sculpture by contemporary artist Martine Demal, dimensions including base (wood plinth, steel base) are 61 × 24 × 12 cm (24 × 9.4 × 4.7 in). The sculpture is signed and numbered, it is part of a limited edition of 8 editions + 4 artist’s proofs, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
This sculpture is part of the series ‘Signs & Writings’. Martine Demal is working the forms towards the abstract, she delivers a dynamic impulse to the artwork’s material. By also choreographing together the used and void spaces, she draws out of her abstract sculptures an almost musical rhythm.
Martine Demal aspires to create sculptures that are dense yet light at the same time, sculptures that combine power and strength, using the magic of traditional bronze craftsmanship combined with elegance of form and proportion. She search for balance in almost fragile forms and proportions, taking full advantage of the possibilities that bronze offers her, despite its weight and density.
