In this graceful and evocative sculpture individual slab elements are assembled, layered in glaze in some areas, left bare in others and reduction fired. This process emphasizes the smooth fluid quality of the form. Fine-Wilson combines both raw and refined aesthetic qualities in her work by incorporating smooth, glossy, matte, rough and cracked surfaces.
