About the Item

The sculpture, Banquet IV - Time Capsule Project , is one of the pivotal pieces showcased in the 2016 London exhibition titled “ White" , a casting project by Shizico Yi, who is making her family and personal belongings into time capsule in transparency Epoxy. This ipod (2008) casted in rice, glass and Epoxy was her last ipod before iphone was invented; the ipod is still operable ( see pictures) even after pouring into the resin in 2016. As long the battery kept charged from time to time, you still can touch the screen and see images on the touch screen. ( ipod charger and the display stand are included) **Guarantee Delivery Worldwide Free end to end tracking Shipping The Time Capsule sculpture works deal with the elements of time and space that individuals inhabit, intertwined with the landscape space of one's memories. This installation narrates the tale of a fractured memory suspended in time, expertly cast in epoxy. It is an on-going project where Shizico Yi is engaging with raw materials, family possessions, and tangible artefacts since 2015. Over the years, Shizu delves into the concept of memory and its intrinsic nature, envisions memories through a distinctive combination of object casting and dressmaking and filmmaking. Through the installation and the sculptures/object making, Shizico brings a kaleidoscopic array of white in the exhibition space allowing two worlds meet (the memory/past and presence), this series offers a visual narrative that captures the essence of memory frozen in the resilient embrace of epoxy.
