Stefano Cagol (Trento, 1969) è un artista contemporaneo italiano.
Ha studiato all'Accademia di Brera a Milano e alla Ryerson University di Toronto con una borsa di studio post-dottorato del Governo del Canada. Ha tenuto lecture e conferenze, tra le alter, alla Bauhaus University di Weimar; Accademia di Brera di Milano e alla Goldsmiths University di Londra. Dal 2022 ha avviato la piattaforma We Are the Flood sulla crisi climatica presso il MUSE Museo delle Scienze di Trento e nel 2023 ha fondato la collezione MUSE Antropocene. Dal 2023 è direttore artistico di Castel Belasi, polo della pratica e del pensiero ecologico. Ha partecipato alla 59a, 55a, 54a Biennale di Venezia; Manifesta 11; 14a Biennale di Curitiba; 3a e 2a OFF Biennale Cairo; 1a Biennale dello Xinjiang e 1a Biennale di Singapore. Tra le mostre personali ricordiamo quella al MAC Museum di Lissone (2023); CCA Center for Contemporary Art di Tel Aviv (2021); Museo MA*GA di Gallarate (2019); Galleria Civica di Trento (2016); ZKM Karlsruhe (2012) e Mart – Museo d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto (2000). Due volte vincitore dell'Italian Council (2023, 2019) del Ministero italiano della Cultura, lavora nei campi dell'Arte Concettuale, Arte Ambientale, Eco-Art e Land Art, riflettendo da anni su confini, influenze, energia e ambiente.
