About the Item
This wall hanging is made in a natural boho style. I combined a ceramic art piece and a piece of wood, connecting them with linen rope. The ceramic part is decorated using the ancient technology of Obvara Firing. «I take a scorching, red-hot ceramic piece from the oven. Then I immerse it into a solution that looks like a witch’s potion. There is a sizzling sound, smoke rises, and I quickly remove the piece into the air. Various quaint patterns appear on it.Such patterns have extravagant outlines and are always unpredictable. Each pattern is unique!» I found a piece of wood in a wild Lithuanian forest. It has a very beautiful natural texture and shape.

Svetlana studied at the Art Academy in Vilnius at the Department of Ceramics. In 2022, her individual exhibition of ceramics "Inside a Dream" was held at the street branch of the Academy of Arts in Vilnius.

When I sculpted this sculpture of a woman, I wanted to convey the state of her openness. She enjoys the space around her and accepts any of its manifestations: sun, wind, rain, smells .. This woman is in a state of inner balance, she is happy. There is a small Swarovski crystal in the center of the chest.
I left the pink clay texture on purpose. Clay is also alive and breathes through its pores.

This ceramic sculpture resembles an ancient object. It has a stone texture and rounded plasticity. Inside the sculpture is a place for fire. When the fire burns, the sculpture comes to life. You see a warm light inside and a cold shadow outside. It takes you into the cool of the night under the starry sky to a place where miracles happen.
The sculpture passed high firing (1120 degrees). I left the natural texture of gray clay to keep the feeling of naturalness.
