About the Item
"Classical ballet was my main source of inspiration. Grace and beauty of ballerinas combining with extremely hard work they do. This combination is shocking and inspiring in the same time. Light and elegance they show on stage worth to be depicted in art. All sculptures of ballet series is a little monuments to this hard art of dancing." - says sculptor about his art.
This Sculpture from the Ballet series. The series is dedicated to classical ballet and includes over 30 sculptures. This sculpture depicts a dancer sitting on a cube. Thin lines, graceful refined shapes give the figure weightlessness. The body is made in realism manner and shows the dancer's tiredness after the performance.
Born in 1954. 1976-1982 – graduated National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Department of sculpture.
2001 – Awarded with a title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. Work as a sculptor for more then 40 years. Participated exhibitions and fairs locally and worldwide. Had about 15 solo art shows While studying, Radionov worked as an assistant in National Opera Theater of Ukraine. Lives in Kyiv, Ukraine.
