Biography :
Céline Lepage (1882-1928) was a French sculptor born in Warsaw, Poland, of French parents. She lived and worked in Paris and exhibited in 1905, 1913 and 1914 at the salons of the National Society of Fine Arts. In 1921, Lepage drew "The Woman of Marrakech", a simplistic representation of an Arab woman of Art Deco style edited by Arthur Goldscheider.
For the Pomone Pavillon (art department of Le Bon Marché department store in Paris), Céline Lepage created and presented low-relief sculptures at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris in 1925. She died prematurely in Paris at the age of 46 years old in 1928.

Lost wax bronze casting
Circa 1910
5 7/8 x 9 x 3 1/4
