Signature is along the bottom edge of the sculpture. The marble base can be substituted for steel for an outdoor setting. The edition is 1/24 with 2 artist proofs.
Semaphore Woman II is part of a series of Semaphore carvings in various sizes with changes in the form with each of the series. Note the flare of the center form, the head form and the deeper bend in the knee, Hostetler exploring his language with the Semaphore form. This sculpture can be enlarged to a custom height.
Semaphore II is part of the Jungian dream series- one of his strongest abstract series. Look at Tribal Figure and Semaphore IV for the series.
