“LarA 010” is a unique architectural bust in high-density cement by Spanish sculptor José Perozo, hand-crafted and pigmented in 2024. This sculptural head blends the anatomy of the female face with minimalist architectural motifs, invoking the concept of Anthropotecture—a term coined by the artist to explore the body as both shelter and symbol, dwelling and monument.
Finished in a soft bone white, the sculpture evokes the tactile quality of porcelain or carved alabaster while maintaining the solidity and weight of architectural material. The structured planes of stacked forms crown the head like a tiered city, subtly referencing archaeological remnants, modernist utopias, and fictional ruins. Its expression is poised and serene, inviting introspection on the relationship between form and identity, presence and place.
The surface has been tinted by hand with a water-based pigment and sealed with a semi-matte varnish, preserving tonal variations and subtle irregularities. Organic imperfections—including pinholes, small bubbles, and color shifts—are intentional and inherent to the sculptural process, emphasizing its singular nature.

Jose Perozo
Jose Perozo (Vigo, 1978) is a Spanish sculptor with a background in Sculpture from Mestre Mateo in Compostela and Scenic Machinery and Set Construction from Escénica in Granada. His artistic trajectory is characterized by an exploration of the relationship between the human body and architecture, employing an industrial and scenographic language that blends the dreamlike with the structural. Perozo’s work reflects a conceptual approach, using raw materials and forms to investigate themes of identity, inhabitation, and the interplay between the physical and the abstract.
Since 2017, Perozo has presented a series of solo exhibitions that have defined his artistic identity. Notable among these are Bastións, held at the University Church of Santiago de Compostela, and Fragmentaria, developed during his residency at the Eugenio Granell Foundation, where he began to reinterpret the human body as an architectural construct. His work gained international visibility in 2020 with an exhibition at the PO.RO.S Museum in Coimbra (Portugal) and participation in global projects such as the Ibero-American Rotary Club collective exhibition in Portugal. Highlights of his recent career include the solo show ANTROPOTECTURA at Monty4 Gallery (A Coruña) in 2023 and appearances at major art fairs like Hybrid Art Fair and Estampa (Madrid). Perozo's collaborations with galleries such as José Lorenzo, La Doce, Casa das Peritas and others further underscore the evolution and depth of his sculptural practice, which continues to bridge the figurative and the conceptual.
