Richard MacDonald was inspired by the goddess of Ancient Greek mythology, Diana, a huntress who combines feminine grace with confidence and wisdom. As a modern symbol of femininity, Diana Earth & Moon stands on a sphere representing the earth as she holds aloft the moon — bridging the earthly, human realm with the mysterious rhythms of the cosmos. Lithe and elegant, her form is human in its beauty, and goddess-like with its aura of intelligence and purpose. Inspired by the heroic masterwork of the same name, Diana Earth & Moon leaves the everyday world behind, and takes our imagination into the ethereal sphere of myth and legend.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Denny Haskew currently resides in Loveland, Colorado where he is actively engaged in the art industry as a sculptor. He received his degree from the University of Utah, then served two years in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Having spent numerous years as a guide and ski instructor, Denny has learned to love the rivers and mountains of the western states of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, and Utah.
