Edition of 25; Ed. no. 6/25
Nick Knight is among the world’s most influential and visionary photographers. He has worked on a range of often controversial issues during his career – from racism, disability, ageism, and more recently fat-ism. He continually challenges conventional ideals of beauty.
The photographer Nick Knight has been portraying international supermodel Kate Moss for more than two decades. As one of the most photographed women in the world who has been accompanied by Knight for many years, Moss serves as the subject of his work. In cooperation with the Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg, the world famous photographer has eternalised a three-dimensional portrait of the Briton in biscuit porcelain for the first time.
The figurine developed in the master workshops of Nymphenburg in 2014 is reminiscent of Christian iconography. Attributes such as the filigree crown of thorns and the voluminous loincloth make reference to religious relics...

ARTIST STATEMENT:
"The beauty, grace and symmetry of traditional figurative sculpture has always called to me. It is my school and my obsession. My language is the figure and I feel the need to comment on the human condition, sometimes distorted by demons, and other times enchanted by all that is pure within us.
I have renewed my relationship to the human form. It has undergone a metamorphosis from silent conformity, where the rules and proportions are tantamount to a partial figure where the human condition becomes of primary importance. I want to stretch the canons of classical realism by giving beauty another voice that challenges socio-political norms. I speak of spirit and courage, of heritage and of imperishable strength.
Today I challenge the traditional figure, creating a characterization of the Spirit; a metaphor to our inner world that might encourage us to seek a deeper understanding of ourselves. Consciousness, as a philosophical concept, can lead us many places, from the empirical world of the cognitive sciences to a theoretical one, where psychology attempts to provide the answers. It is my intention to reach into the 21st. century using sculpture to transcend disciplinary boundaries between the physical bodies in bronze and the self-knowledge and understanding of the ethereal realm that is our internal landscape."

'Wave' Abstract Glass Sculpture
By Petr Stacho
Located in Rye, NY
Wave is a unique glass sculpture created in the Kiln with cut, cast and polished uranium glass. The blue and green tones illuminate in the light to create movement as one sees in the ocean.
Petr Stacho uses hot-glass techniques in order to create objects of sculptural character, decorated in a sophisticated manner while all the lines and shades of the surface are the result of thoughtful designs and elaborate work with liquid glass. Glass art combines hard physical work with craftsmanship, manufacturing technology with subtle mental processes. Stacho apparently chose the triangle as a symbol of intuitive search for perfection and a balance of all these elements of glass art – the ideal perfection of the artist’s vision which is being constantly disturbed and interfered with by human imperfection and the random interventions resulting from the unpredictable nature of the glass itself.
Basic geometrical forms are invaded by the artist’s intent while retaining a striking resemblance to patterns defined originally by Mother Nature – melting ice or freezing liquid, meteorite minerals or transparent substances, all colliding in a dynamic environment of physical natural relations and human imagination.
Petr sculptures are collected and have been exhibited world wide from his home land of The Czech Republic to China, London, Germany and will be shown at SOFA Chicago in USA by Ai Bo Gallery...

Sculptor, painter, printmaker, & photographer, Eduardo Oropeza remains a commanding presence in contemporary art. He applied a high level of devotion and integrity to his artwork. After the many years he had been working at his chosen profession, he saw being an artist as a tremendous gift, which honored and humbled him. A native of California's San Joaquin Valley and long time resident of East Los Angeles, Oropeza's academic training began with the study of Sociology. After taking an art course, he ultimately changed majors and received a Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from San Jose State. Postgraduate work followed at San Jose, San Diego State at Long Beach, and Palomar College.
Oropeza’s contribution to public art in Los Angeles can be seen in a ceramic mosaic covering the 2 story Self Help Graphics Workshop building located at Ceasar Chavez and Gage streets in East Los Angeles. Oropeza donated his time and artistic talent to complete this multi-year project. The second phase of this project was the creation of a Virgin of Guadalupe...

Large Bronze Sculpture - Tai Ji (Tai Chi) by noted Chinese artist Xie Ai Ge
By Xie Ai Ge
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Xie Ai Ge (b.1977) is one of the more prominent Chinese sculptors in the international art world working in bronze and synthetic materials. She graduated from the Shanghai Fine Arts College, and received recognition by art critics as a promising young sculptor in a national exhibition in China in 2005. She went on to exhibit in Germany (Kunstmuseum) where she received more international exposure. The artist has since exhibited globally in Asia, Europe and the US, where her works are part of many prestigious collections. The breadth and depth of Xie Ai Ge's work is a testament to her technical virtuosity, productivity, and artistic imagination, and she is considered to be not just a leading young sculptor of her generation in China but one of the significantly successful Chinese artists on an international level.
This particular series are in many private collections worldwide, and has also been commissioned (in a special life size sculpture of Tai Chi) and prominently displayed at the beautiful Park Hyatt, Shanghai.
About Tai Ji Series:
Xie is inspired by the ancient practice of Tai Ji and is also a yoga practitioner. She is inspired by the inherent juxtaposition of tranquility and power in the movements of these practices. Each pose evokes a sense of effortlessness, conveying a quietness of movement with the energy and power of an ancient practice. Therein lies the beauty of her work.
"Tai Ji" (or "Tai Chi") series are presented in 3 different series, poses differ in size and materials; each set is ultimately unique.
1) Large Bronze sculptures of Tai Ji (Large bronze - about 90cm / 35" in height, varying depending on pose)
8 different poses
Edition of 5 per pose
2) Medium Bronze (about 60cm / 24" in height - nearly sold out)
16 different poses
Edition of 8 per pose
3) Fibre glass (about 11" in height)
8 different poses
Edition of 100 per pose
