About the Item
This statue is hand crafted by lost wax process which is one of the ancient method of metal work. It is made up of copper and has a halo of flames. The flames are of sterling silver. Back piece is detachable. Turquoise and coral embellishment is used to adorn it.
Green Tara is seated on lotus with one leg folded and another slightly extended outward. Green Tara is believed to have healing energy to relief from negative aspects in human life.
A long process is required to make a statue complete unlike mass production. It is made by artisans of Patan, Nepal where skill is passed down for generations. A booklet on procedure of making a statue comes with the purchase.
