About the Item

Marble bust of Emperor Napoleon I, depicted in a hermit as per the model by Antoine-Denis CHAUDET (1763-1810), 19th century era. Chaudet depicted the emperor as an ancient hermit by signing the work below the inscription "Napoléon." It was chosen by Napoleon as his official portrait in sculpture and produced in two sizes, a "first size" and a smaller one intended for the desks of the kingdom's offices or sent as a diplomatic gift. Ours, by size, is among the smaller specimens but its quality is nonetheless good. To report a small professional restoration to the tip of the nose done by the former owners. Measurements H cm 31 W cm 17 D cm 12 The bust is shipped in a custom-made wooden crate via MBE with UPS or TNT/FEDEX or DHL carriers. The bust is accompanied by a certificate of free exportation from the Italian Fine Arts, allowing its immediate shipment worldwide.
