Ivan Zanoni
bookcase hand-forged olive tree in one piece sculpture - black wrought iron

2023

About the Item

The elegant and fine Olive tree's unique piece forged in wrought iron is not replicable. It was created by an Italian blacksmith, one of the most significant contemporary artists worldwide. Although small in size (suitable for a shelf, niche, or bookcase), the sculpture is fixed on a small white marble base. It shows its power, beauty, and monumentality. The sculptor is fresh from the success of a major exhibition dedicated to him at MART, the Museum of Modern Art in Rovereto (the most prominent in Italy). Ivan Zanoni, born and raised in Caldes (Trento, Italy), is one of the most famous contemporary artists mastering iron of our time. Ivan Zanoni learned about this rare activity from his father, Luciano, who, among other works of art, sculpted a four-meter olive tree for Melinda and Bill Gates' foundation in Seattle. Ivan's artworks are inspired by nature. His artistic research represents trees, vegetables, and animals' anatomy and souls. All of his artworks are unique proofs made of wrought iron. The sculptor's works are also under commission. He has numerous solo institutional and market exhibitions with his father in Italy, France, and Greece, even though their most vibrant market is in Anglo-Saxon countries: the USA, the UK, and Australia.
