A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our collection of wine and drinks related silverware. This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a shaped pedestal to a plain rounded knop and circular spreading foot. The body of this silver goblet is embellished with an applied cartouche pertaining to the London Athletic Club accented with a uncial-style typeface and incorporating the motto 'Vincit Qui Patitur' - Who Endures, Wins, in addition to. Either side of the goblet features a cast and applied wing, each with ornamentation reproducing the details of the plumage. The upper rim of the vessel is encompassed with an applied moulded border. Stunning and extremely rare Georgian Irish Heavy Gauge hand cut crystal fruit bowl or centerpiece of traditional outline, of outstanding quality and condition. Circa 1800 - 1825. The unusual fan-cut decorative rim above a deep cut diamond pattern all-round body with a single ring stem socle, ending on a circular base with star cut pattern underneath. Made in Ireland in either Waterford or Belfast. This piece is unmarked, early pieces were not usually. *This piece is over quarter of an inch in thickness allover. Condition: Good condition for such an early piece of rare Irish glass. No inside clouding, wonderful evidence of age wear at base underneath, few flea bites to top rim, difficult to see. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver three-piece tea set/service, boxed; part of our silver tea ware collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver three-piece tea service consists of a teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl. Each piece of this Victorian silver tea set has an oval rounded form onto four stylized hoof feet. The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished. The elevated shoulders of the teapot, in addition to the cream jug and sugar bowl are encompassed with impressive applied opposing scroll decorated borders paralleling the shaped rims. The teapot is fitted with a plain domed hallmarked hinged cover surmounted with the original oval painted wood and silver topped finial. The teapot retains the original painted wood handle featuring a plain scrolling thumbpiece and sterling silver sockets. The cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with impressive elevated C-scroll handles with bifurcating opposing scroll lower terminals, in addition to a single leaf design incorporated into each shaped thumbpiece. The teapot is fitted with an impressive plain swan necked spout. The cream jug and sugar bowl retain the original gilt interior. This Victorian silver tea set is fitted to the original Fine and impressive hinged leatherette box with a satin and velvet lined interior and securing with a hinged catch.
