An exceptional, fine and impressive set of eight antique Russian silver and enamel spoons; an addition to our silver flatware collection These exceptional vintage Russian silver and enamel spoons have an oval shaped bowl onto a elongated stem. The reverse surface of each bowl is embellished with cloisonné floral and scrolling leaf designs on black enamel background, accented with various unusual tones of polychrome enamel highlighting the bead, spindle and tear drop ornamentation. The enamel segments are encompassed with applied silver gilt paralleling rope twist ornamentation. The posterior surface of each handle incorporates a lobed knop to the shoulders. An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Victorian English cast sterling silver three piece condiment set in the form of squirrels; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection This exceptional and rare antique Victorian English cast sterling silver condiment set consists of a mustard pot and a pair of peppers. The components of this magnificent set have been realistically modelled in the form of squirrels eating nuts. Each substantial piece is ornamented with details reproducing the squirrel's fur and anatomical features. The fine mustard pot is fitted the original hallmarked flush hinged cover, incorporating the rodent's arms and head, and retains the original gilding to the interior; the flush hinge and gilding indicates the high quality of the piece. The decoration to each squirrel pepper incorporates an array of pierced 'pepper' holes to the upper portion. The underside of each pepperette is fitted with a hinged hallmarked push fit cover. The base of each piece bears the retailer's mark 'Jones 41 St James's St & 23 B Des Capucine, Paris'. The pieces of this exceptional vintage American silver flatware set for six persons have been crafted in a plain angular form, reflecting the Classic Devon pattern. The surface of each handle is plain and unembellished in the iconic design style. A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver cream and sugar presentation set made by Charles Stuart Harris - boxed; part of our silver teaware collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver afternoon teaware set consists of a sugar bowl, a cream jug, six teaspoons and a pair of sugar tongs. The cream jug and sugar bowl have a circular rounded form and ornamented with embossed and chased segmented floral and leaf motifs. The cream jug is fitted with a C scroll handle accented with a figurehead ornamentation. Both the cream jug and sugar bowl retains the original gilt interior. Each teaspoon has been crafted in the Old English pattern. The anterior surfaces of the teaspoon handles and the bridge of the sugar tongs are embellished with panels of bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decoration, accented with star motifs and incorporating a bead bordered vacant oval cartouche. This impressive cream and sugar set is fitted to the original fine and impressive hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior, which secures with a push fit catch. The interior of the box bears the mark ‘By Appointment, Elkington & Co, Manchester’ beneath a Royal coronet amidst the initials VR. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V Scottish sterling silver caddy spoon; an addition to our teaware collection. This exceptional antique George V Scottish sterling silver caddy spoon has a plain shovel shaped bowl. The handle terminal is embellished with a cast features depicting Celtic knots and interlacing designs, paralleling a mystical interlaced creature. The handle stem is further ornamented with a raised paralleling border, incorporating scrolling designs to either end. This impressive antique 1920s silver caddy spoon was crafted by the distinguished and collectable silversmith Alexander Ritchie of Iona, Scotland; the piece includes full Glaswegian hallmarks, in addition to identifying 'AR', 'Iona' and registration number RD NO 643267. Alexander was in the Merchant Navy and returned home once injured in a ship wreck. He returned home to help the family run hospitality business and married Euphemia Thomson; a prior student of the Glasgow School of Art. The couple expanded their love of art and Alex expanded his skill set from wood carving to metal work. Everything was made to the Ritchies' specifications and to a high standard. In 1937, Alex Ritchie's work was included in a prestigious Scottish Industries Exhibition on London. Condition This antique Scottish sterling silver caddy spoon is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The cast decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the stem and reverse of the handle are all very clear. The body of each tureen is encompassed with an applied girdle above a contemporary bright cut engraved coat of arms displaying an escutcheon party per pale of a cross engrailed and a lion rampant, encompassed with fabric swaps and suspended tassels. The rim of each antique tureen is encompassed with an applied gadroon decorated border. These impressive sterling silver Georgian tureens retain the original hallmarked push fit covers, surmounted with an impressive reed decorated handle enveloped with chased decorated leaf designs to the terminals. The surface of each cover is ornamented with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting an armoured knight armed mounted on a horse salient holding in his dexter hand a sword above his head.
