During his time there, he was introduced to the world of printmaking by Dennis McNett. After graduating, Dylan worked as a studio assistant for McNett for several years, gaining valuable experience and insight into the world of printing and sustaining a career as an artist. In 2017, Dylan decided to pursue freelance illustrating full-time, and in 2020, he launched his own brand called Dog Gone Studios.
