Pankalangu Wardrobe by Trent Jansen from the Broached Monster Collection
By Trent Jansen
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
Broached monsters by Trent Jansen. The vast majority of mainstream Australian mythology commonly used as a foundation for Australian identity is culturally exclusive. Both Indigenous myths, including post-colonial myths and precolonial dreaming stories, and non-indigenous Australian myths, including the bush legend, ANZAC tradition and convict legend, focus on the historical role that the race of authorship has played in building the nation. However, a contemporary understanding of Australian history...

HS1 MMXX1, 21st Century Modern Sculpted Resin Wardrobe
By Privatiselectionem
Located in Sofia, BG
Hunting Season 1 MMXX1, 21st century modern sculpted resin wardrobe Unexpectedly beautiful trophy looted by our most able virtuoso hunter Reya. From the lush woods there appears a beast that seems equally rich in color depth and texture diversity and will hopefully find a place in a complex human habitat at long last. Its instinctively bent doors are not revealing directly deep forest hues and twig-like finish structure from both sides, but hunters usually go into woods prepared for the Unexpected. Materials & techniques: Exterior: Hand-sculpted multiple layers of pigmented lacquer and resin Detail: Highly polished hand-silvered brass Decorative shelf: multiple layers of pigmented lacquer Body interior: Hand varnished dark sepia oak, finish: polished natural wood oil Door interior: Hand-applied multiple layers of pigmented resin and lacquer Clothes rod...

Exceptional Gaston Poisson & Robert Pansart Cabinet Lacquered Mahogany, Art Deco
By Gaston Poisson, Atelier Pansart
Located in Paris, France
This splendid and rare large furniture piece includes three doors with engraved signed keys from the artist Gaston Poisson, “GP”. This circa 1937 cabinet is made of green lacquered* mahogany and contains 12 interior shelves (three doors each with 4 shelves), each shelf featuring beautiful marquetry detail. The centerpiece of this beautiful cabinet is the large exterior mirror by Robert Pansart. This is made of "églomisé" glass with a polychrome geometric ribbon-like decor. Églomisé glass is a technique used often for mirrors that creates intricate decoration using golden leaves and silver. *THE LACQUER IS NOT ORIGINAL, THE CABINET HAS BEEN REFINISHED LATE 20 CENTURY Gaston Poisson, a cabinetmaker from Lille, France, is a renowned Renaissance designer best known for his modernist work. He has a unique taste for pure clean lines, mostly from the 1950s-1960s, which is exemplified in this particular piece. The square and diagonal motifs visible on the facade of the cabinet as well as the ornate marquetry on the interior shelves show that this piece was highly specialized, a well thought out piece made with incredible care. Robert Pansart is a French glassmaker and decorator who specialized in his unique technique of etching and oxidizing with “églomisé” glass. One of the most highly regarded glassmakers of his time, he mainly worked from post war years to the 1960s, and his work is reminiscent of a world based on fairy tales – evocative of the 1940s-1950s taste. His mirrors tend to appear in the antique art market and are valued as highly collectible pieces. Pansart mirrors were auctioned at very high prices at auctions at Artcurial and other major auction houses (see the last picture) Different works of the artist: Berliz Cinema in Paris Municipal Theater of Poitiers (see last picture) Theater of the Paquebot France
