Dutch Colonial Teak and Ebony Separating Cupboard Armoire, Circa 1840, Ceylon

About the Item

Exquisite Dutch Colonial cupboard hand-made from solid Teak and laced with Ebony. This piece dismantles into three pieces for ease of movement and exudes the elegance of bygone craftsmanship with fluted pilasters and crown mouldings in ebony highlighting the gorgeous, warm teak grains throughout. The base sits on an inlaid apron and the central stile contains three drawers. Not to be seen again and well worth incorporating. Don't waste money on a built-in. Have a character piece that you can dismantle and take with you. circa 1840 Origin Ceylon (Sri Lanka).
