Christophe Dupety’s paintings express the vitality and spontaneity of gesture, free of all interference. They also reflect a taste for taking risks: refusing to control everything but, on the contrary, wanting to confront the chaos of life by involving phenomena linked to weightlessness, flow and accidents. For the artist, these can be used in a way that contributes to what he wants us to see: the joy of painting. An artist who favours a form of painting that can be read immediately, Christophe Dupety seeks to encourage a spontaneous emotional response in the viewer.
